Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology electrical engineering alumnus Kevin Token has been named regional director of the new St. Louis office for architectural/engineering firm BSA LifeStructures, Inc., a national leader in designing healthcare, higher education, research and technology facilities.
Token, a St. Louis native, has over 17 years of experience as a Principal-in-Charge and lead engineer on complex projects throughout the Midwest. He is a LEED Accredited professional engineer, is an active member of Missouri's American Society for Healthcare Engineers (ASHE) and plays a role on the Training and Education Committee for the St. Louis Council of Construction Consumers.
In a company press release, Token stated that "BSA LifeStructures' presence in St. Louis has already proven to be beneficial from a number of perspectives. We pride ourselves on being a service-oriented firm, and with our St. Louis office, we are now better equipped to proactively respond to our clients' changing needs in person. As our strategic partnerships with clients in this part of the country continue to expand, we feel we can more effectively collaborate with them through our physical presence in St. Louis."
After earning his bachelor’s degree from Rose-Hulman in 1991 Token went on to receive a Master of Business Administration from Marshall University.
A high percentage of healthcare, university and complex research facility work can be found in the St. Louis area. BSA LifeStructure’s office, located at CityPlace in the St. Louis suburb of Creve Coeur, fits well with BSA LifeStructures' core competencies and services. The company has worked on projects for BJC Healthcare at the University of Missouri, the Sisters of St. Mary's Good Samaritan Replacement Hospital (Mt. Vernon, Ill.), the new replacement hospital in Carlinville, Ill., and the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine (Springfield, Ill.).
Rose-Hulman alumnus Sam Reed (Mech. Eng., ‘81) is president of BSA LifeStructures, which is headquartered in Indianapolis and employs over 200 people.
